Delicious Spiced Caramel Apple Upside-Down Cake Recipe (Parve/Dairy Free)

I found this delicious Spiced Caramel Apple Upside-Down Cake on Jew and The Carrot. They partnered with Chow.com to create a few Rosh HaShanah recipes. I made it last Shabbat and lets just say I had a hard time controlling myself around this cake. FYI, I made a dairy version of this cake for the Yom Kippur break fast. I just substituted the butter for the margarine and added 1/8th of a teaspoon of salt to the cake batter (and yes, everything is better with butter).
